A donation campaign gives the shoppers of your users the option to donate to a nonprofit organization when they make a purchase, either online or at the point of sale. The donation is charged to the same payment method that was used for the purchase, but is processed as a separate transaction. Donations are settled directly to the nonprofit's bank account. Adyen covers all fees and the donation amount is transferred to the nonprofit in full.<\/p>\n

As a platform, you can set up and manage donation campaigns on behalf of your users in the Customer Area. Or you can use API calls to build an integrated solution on your platform that lets users set up and manage donation campaigns themselves.<\/p>\n

Donation campaigns for account holders<\/h2>\n

In the Customer Area, under Giving<\/strong> > Campaigns<\/strong>, you can create donation campaigns for your users and manage the lifecycle of the various campaigns. Alternatively, you can do that using Management API calls. These API calls also enable you to build an interface yourself on your platform, to let users self-serve their donation campaigns.<\/p>\n

Regardless of how you approach it, in an Adyen for Platforms integration, donation campaigns are always created for your account holders<\/a>. And regardless of the sales channel, shoppers are only asked for a donation if the shopper's region, currency, and payment method support that.<\/p>\n

Campaign creation<\/h3>\n
